Interned P-51B 'Hot Pants' from 359th FG

On 4 August 1944 two P-51Bs of the 359th FG were forced (low on fuel)to land in Sweden. One of these aircraft, CS*Q, nose art 'Hot Pants' was photographed at least twice. These black and white photos can be found, among other places, on page 167 of Aces and Wingman II, Volume I, by Danny Morris. Super Scale decals have included markings for this aircraft on sheet 72-726.

My questions have to do with the colours of the markings as various references have contradictory interpretations. What were those 12 rectangles under the windscreen? Does anyone out there have any other photos and/or opinions on the colour of the name and those rectangles?
